The present paper describes the effect of selected dramatherapy techniques on addicted clients in a detoxication ward. The paper focuses on four specific techniques. The mask, the metaphor, the symbol, and the puppet. The authors of the paper investigated the patients' feelings evoked by these techniques, what the patients were thinking, and whether they gained any deeper experiences. In the paper the authors reflect on the suitability of these techniques in the environment of a detoxication ward in Olomouc.
The paper is dedicated to the Grant of the Dean of FE PU in Olomouc 2017 entitled Expressive approaches within the competence of special education teachers aimed at persons with addiction in the context of a detoxication establishment - analysis and recommendations for special education theory and practice.
